GeoData Direct has lis pendens for Nassau and Suffolk

GeoData Direct now displays lis pendens on applicable Nassau and Suffolk properties. A lis pendens literally means "a suit pending" and is a written notice concerning real property. A lis pendens is often the first notice to the public of a possible foreclosure.

Lis pendens are available directly on the Property Report. At the top of the property report, there is an alert with the number of active lis pendens. Users may also search for lis pendens in Nassau and Suffolk counties by date, building class, and location of the lis pendens.

For additional information on lis pendens and liens, see our May 2007 press release or call us at 516-663-0790.
